DT Project by Paula Featuring Kaisercraft....

Materials used that are available to purchase from Snazzy's are:
Kaisercraft Filmstrip Frame (SB2108)
Kaisercraft Clear Stamps (Velvet Ensemble Collection - CS778)
Tim Holtz Alpha Parts - Ransom

Basically, Ive done something on a similar vein to Lesley - Ive given the frame a base coat and then a blue top coat, which Ive sanded in places to reveal the first colour.
I then stamped the border from the 'Velvet Ensemble Collection' and used a white embossing powder.
Ive painted the Alpha Parts white and just used my nail to scratch the paint off around the edges to give a distressed look.

This is really beautiful Paula. What a lovely gift it would make for new parents.

You may have used similar techniques to me but it just goes to show how different the results can be. Might have to bear this in mind as we have a grandson due end of November, beginning of December.

Hugs
Lesley Xx

Amazing how utterly different these products & techniques look in different artist's hands. Thank you for an insight into different ways of doing things.

The white embossing makes all the difference - I love contrast - and the bird is a fab finishing touch.

I agree with all the comments above, this looks just wonderful! The white embossing really makes the whole piece pop and the blue and white theme really fits the sentiments and that gorgeous picture!. This would indeed make a stunning gift!

This is so lovely Paula, a real departure from your usual colour schemes. The white embossing is really effective, and the painted white elements are fabulous. I love the shabby blue it's perfect here. Any new parent would treasure this, a fab idea, Judith xx

This is lovely and an unusual gift to commemorate the birth of a baby. Amazing how projects using the same products turn out so varied.

Love this project. A completely different feel to Lesley's which just goes to show how creative you both are. The white embossing is a favourite of mine, it can look so fresh and yet fit the shabby look at the same time.

I agree with the above comments, this is a lovely project and has a simple shabby chic feel to it but very very elegant.
