Design Team project 2 Wallet Card

As my final project this month I am going to show you how to create a wallet card. This could be a little gift for an arty friend.
This is what you will need:
1 piece of card stock 25cm by 14cm or if you work in inches 5 ½ “ by 10”
2 pieces of card stock 8cm by 10 cm or 3 ¼ by 4”
1 piece of 12 x 12 scrapbook paper (I used a sheet of Tim Holtz Vintage Shabby

Score your main bit of cardstock as shown and round the corners of the shortest bit (see picture)
Now score your 2 smaller bits of card every 1 cm or every ½” and fold accordion style

Next you are going to cut your scrapbook paper to line your wallet both on the out and on the inside.
You will need 4 pieces 8 ½ by 13 ½ cm or 5 ¼ by 3 3/8 “
2 pieces 6 ½ by 13 ½ cm or 5 ¼ by 2 7/8
Ink and over stamp these pieces as you see fit.
Here you can see both my in - and outside

Now it is time to glue your wallet together: Put a little dab of glue along the accordion fold of your smaller pieces on one side and peg to dry
Once both are dry attach to the wallet as shown. (If you want you can create a little pocket for a gift card or similar first)

Here you can see how I decorated my wallet further

I closed it with a Velcro dot and finished by making a matching tag
Hope you like this little tutorial and maybe even give it a try.

Look out for the next DT team project when Gillian will be showcasing some other brilliant products.

Hi again Astrid, Another wonderful project from you this week. I think these wallets are such a good idea (I made a similar one about a month ago for a none-crafty friend) and your tutorial is excellent. Once again you've made very effective use of those lovely stamps to create a gift anyone would love to receive.
