i started my project off with a 2x4 which i cut down to size, sanded the edges and then painted it black.
next it was just a matter of layering on this lovely paper and adding bits and bobs along the way. i am not a neat kind of scrapbooker or mixed media artist or well okay neat anything when it comes to art so i just had to add a bit of distress to my papers along with a bit of black edging using archival ink.
for those papers that were white based, and i wanted to use them, i just added a bit of frayed burlap distress ink to them to add the kraft touch
here is my project. hope you like it!
a bit of a close up to show you that they can be angled (not attached to each other!)
i love that i can rearrange them depending on where i want to stack them!
i will be back later on this week to show you a couple other things i did with this paper and stamps!!

Another gorgeous project here today, and I agree, cool idea that it can be re-arranged in different ways. Brilliant idea.
What a clever project and a great display piece for the home xx
Lovely arty keepsake!
Sorry for being dim but is the 2x4you're talking about wood or canvas?
