"Positive Affirmations for Life" Snazzy DT Project #1 Prima Engraver Collection by Astrid

Hello everyone, welcome and thank you for visiting!!! Astrid here and I am guessing that as I am the 4th in line for showing you this month’s DT kit that by now you will know that we are show casing the most wonderful Prima EngraverCollection!!!

I had so much fun creating my first project, it almost made itself with these lush papers. The hardest bit was cutting into them, they are soooooo gorgeous.

However, needs must, so cutting into them I did, and this is what I came up with: A Positive Affirmations for Life tag card. This is what I used:
Two papers from the collection: Atlas and Roulette. I also used a #12 Ranger Tag , a piece of Ranger Manila Card Stock, Walnut Stain Distress Ink and the Sizzix Alterations Tattered Doily Die also by said Mr Holtz and a piece of vintage seam-binding which I died with Antique Linen and a tinsy bit of Walnut Stain Distress Ink. Then I used all of the stamps to embellish my card, some of the roses and words cut out from the packaging the stamps came in. Prima always make the most gorgeous packaging for their stuff! I also used one of the clear stamps that comes with this collection but is not actually part of the kit, but then at the cost of £2, that's not a big deal...
So this is what I did: I scored my tag 3” from the shaped side and 2.5” from the other side, this gave me a basic gatefold card. Next I cut the doily die from my manila cardstock and adhered it to the shaped side of the tag.I then covered both the inside and the outside with the papers and edged everything with the Walnut Stain Distress Ink. When that was done the fun of embellishing began. I’ll let the photos tell the story.
Here you can see some of the detail of the doily and the lush flowers. I used computer generated words for "Affirmations", and for the word "Living" this was cut from the packaging.

Here is one of the yummy brads that I used to help close my booklet.

Here you can see the inside of the booklet. The butterfly is one of the stamps which I cut out. The words are all from the packaging apart from the word Memories which was one of the stamps. Another doily makes the pocket for the tag, the embellishments on it are all stamped images cut out. The closure is a little magnet hidden under the heart on the left.

Here are some more close ups:

And here finally are the front and back side of the tag. Again, it was covered with the papers, stamped on and embellished with stamps and words from the packaging.

Last of all, here you can see the tag inside its pocket.

Well that's it for today, hope you liked what I made and remember, if you want to be in with a chance to win this super collection, leave a comment here. Oh and just if you are wondering, clicking on the thumbnails below will take you straight to the products in Snazzys online shop!!

Thank you for visiting and I will be back later on in the week with another project.

Oh Astrid, you have made a beautiful project here, not only in the design but in the warm muted colour palette that you restricted yourself to.
You could have easily added colour on the inside, but my goodness it is a feast for the eyes like it is.
Smiles:)

Sooooooo gorgeous work again Astrid. This is so awesome and perfect for a male too, which is something I find really hard to make, but even hubby just said here, that this was actually pretty cool, and that´s quite a compliment from him at least LOL. But I must admit, I love it a lot too. Stunning work again hun.

My dear Astrid, this is a gorgeous tag booklet - as you know I adore your colour tones, and the doily die makes the most beautiful edge for the front, and inside as pocket.
I love the papers and stamped butterfly, as well as the most beautiful tags and flowers.
You are making magic dear friend.

Hi Astrid, I'm late getting online tonight but what a beautiful project was waiting for me to view! I love the monochromatic colour theme and you've made wonderful use of the papers and stamps in the collection for your tag card. Brilliant how you've incorporated some of the packaging too (I have mine squirrelled away for the future too, lol). Beautiful embellishments with the brad and dyed seam binding. Altogether a fabulous design as always.
