DT Project #2 by Minxy : Featuring:

Chocolate Baroque Steampunk Travel Stamps
That Special Touch Penny farthing Stencil
Blossom Bucket Top Hat
Tim Holtz Idea-ology Gears

Morning Snazzy Folks
Sorry i'm a bit late, the technology has been playing up, and a post without pictures would be kinda pointless, but it's all sorted now! And boy do I have alot of photo's

I decided to alter a little wooden box

I started by coating the box with 'waterfall' Eco Green acrylic paint.

I then dry brushed some 'pure gold' Eco Green acrylic paint on top to create an aged affect.

Next I stamped around each edge with the Chocolate Baroque steampunk stamps, using black Archival ink.

For the top I used 'peeled paint' distress ink through the wheel of the penny farthing My Special Touch stencil.

I painted the Tando Creative 'wings and cogs' with more 'pure gold' acrylic and arranged on top with some Tim Holtz gears and the Blossom Bucket top hat.
I also used some metal hands and a mini watch cog from my stash.
***
I hope you like my project and it inspires you to go decorate a box or 2 of your own.
There is still plenty more steampunk goodness to come with Astrid on Monday and or course Hels the week after, so...
Till next time
Stay Inky

Fabulous box Minxy. I have those Eco paints but never used them on their own. It certainly gives a brilliant aged look to your box. Hugs Rita xx

This is great Nicky. I love boxes too and I think I love that pure gold Eco Green paint too. That defo needs to be on my shopping list. The coverage from it on those embellies is great and the aged effect to the box. Love how you've grouped those embellishments too and that's some clever stamping round the sides, especially the mobile telephone going round the corner. Wonderful stuff!
