Hi Everyone,
This is my final project for this month and I have to say I've had a great time playing with the lovely Pan Pastels. I hope I get time to continue experimenting with them because I'm sure there's lots more for me to discover.
Before I show details of my project, just a little reminder in case you haven't already done so, go leave a comment HERE to be in the random.org draw to win a set of these gorgeous Pan Pastels.
Now on to my final project and this time I decided to make a card combining the Pan Pastels with the quirky Dylusions stamps.
I started by covering the whole surface with Paynes Grey Tint followed by a very light layer of Paynes Grey. I then stamped the various leaf and flower images from Around the Edge and How Does Your Garden Grow (Dylusions) with Versamark ink and patted the Pan Pastel colours I wanted lightly over the images using the Sofft Tools. I used a mixture of Chromium Oxide Green Tint and Shade and Paynes Grey. I then coloured the flowers and some of the leaves along the bottom with Distress Markers.
I stamped Doolally Doris (Dylusions) onto separate card with Versamark, patted Pan Pastels in various colours over the stamped image and then coloured the image with the pastels using the Sofft Tools. I cut Doris out and gave her a coat of glaze by patting it over the surface with Cut n Dry foam. I then coloured a piece of card with Violet Tint pastel and stamped the quote from The Right Words (Dylusions) with black Archival ink and cut the sections out before mounting them onto the card with 3D foam.
I stamped the wings onto a sandwich of fusible fibres and film, and then mounted Doris onto the card with 3D foam pads .......... and there you have it!
I hope you've enjoyed my projects this week and we still have Minxy and Astrid's designs to look foward to yet. I can't wait!
Have a good weekend everyone!

great mix of the Pan Pastels with those stamps - love the subtle colouring.
Loving your work, x
Fabulous card! A cool image and I love the words. Those Pan Pastels are so versatile and you have given us some fab ideas of how to use them. Thank you xx
I'm not normally a 'quirky' fan but this has got me thinking & I just love those wings. I love the softness you achieved with the PanPastels & that quote is a beauty. I can see I'm going to have to investigate Dylusions.

this is a lovely card and I do love the quirkyness of the whole thing.
A great card Lesley, love the softness of the grey and those fab leaves framing the picture. The shiny leaves are gorgeous and the lilac sentiment is a lovely one. Great colouring on your image, hugs, Judith xx
Coolio card, i like the leafage hanging down especially x
Hi Lesley, Love the card. Great way to show that pan pastels are as versatile as distress inks & a must for my crafty stash. I need the distress markers too.
Love the quirky wings and how you have incorporated the PanPastels into this card. x
Love Dylusions anyway but love what you have done with the PP's - it softens the images and I love that. The wings are brilliant.

Love this lots and the wings are terrific! Must get me that stamp set!
What a fun and whimsical project! Love the sentiment hanging like leaves on the vine.
Wow, that's gorgeous!!
I love this card Lesley. The lilac words are gorgeous, as are those lovely wings. Like PEP I am not normally the greatest quirky fan, but I do rather like Doris and her gentle features. Lovely composition as always. Elaine xxx
