DT Project #3 by Astrid

Featuring 7 Dots Studio Dreamer Collection

Hello everyone. Today I am showing you the last two projects created with this amazing paper collection. I am also showing you some ideas with two other wonderful products available from Snazzys, namely their very own Steampunk Supplies and Viva Decor Flexible Stencil "4 Borders". I created two tags.

The first project is a steampunk tag, as you can see. I covered the tag with a piece of one of the papers, added another strip along the bottom and over that created some texture by pressing some texture paste through one of the stencils. The stamps used are from Darkroom Doors Steampunk set, available from Snazzys. The chain and steampunk elements are from their Steampunk Supplies and the lock and key are Tim Holtz.

The next tag is more "Shabby Chic". All papers used are of course from the collection. The little pen stamp I had in my stash, I'm sorry but I can't remember where it came from. Along the top of the tag you can see a further example of the borders mask.

Well, that's it from me. Please come back next Monday when we will be hosting our very first challenge on the blog. There will be samples from all of the DT members and if you decide to join in there is a wonderful prize to be won generously offered by Snazzys. Hope to see you then!!

fab tags...like the second one where the image is peeping out from the peeled back paper.

Wow Astrid, these are gorgeous and you've incorporated so many of the fab products we received in our DT pack. So many in fact that I have to confess I completely forgot about those lovely border masks. I didn't use any of the steampunk goodies either :( I'll have to remember to include them in future DT makes.

You on the other hand have made two fabulous tags using the lot and created a wonderful finale for this month's DT pieces. I love the texture you've created with the masks and the lovely little rolled 'parchment' is inspired. I'd love to see these irl! Well done for ending with such an inspirational post.

Hugs
Lesley Xx

What a finale to a fab month of projects. I'm so drawn to the steampunk tag, one of my favourite stamp sets, but the texture paste through the stencil is such a clever touch especially on the shabby chic tag xx

Both tags are gorgeous Astrid , I love the design of the 2nd tag especially, genius to have the paper acting as a zipper. x
