Design Team Project #2 featuring 7 Dots Studio Dreamer Collection (by Lesley)

Hello Everyone,

As it's now Friday evening I hope you are all looking forward to doing something nice this weekend even if it's only winding down doing nothing much after a busy week.  I've had a week out and about quite a lot so not much crafting time but I did manage to get my second project finished in time to show you (by the skin of my teeth, lol).

A couple of months ago our lovely 'Headmistress' Val posted a fab envelope book on her blog here.  Val made it for one of the brilliant workshops she holds at Snazzy HQ (wish I lived close enough to go :o( ) and because I expressed a real interest in it Val kindly sent me some envelopes made into the 'bones' of the book so I could see how it was put together.  I've kept the original envelopes for future reference (I'm bound to forget how to do it with my sieve-like brain) and used some of my own which are a bit bigger than Val's, together with the fabulous 7 Dots Studio papers to make a Book of Inspirational Quotes I like from my stamp collection.

I'm not going to give details on how I made the book as that wouldn't be fair to Val and instead I am going to bombard you with lots of photos and a list of products I used.  If anyone has anything they would like to ask, please email me (email addy on my blog profile) and I'll try to answer your query.

Hugs

Gorgeous project Lesley, I love the colours. You have used lots of stamps that I am very fond of in this project. I can see why it has taken you so long to put this one together! Another project packed with detail, and it makes you want to keep going back for another look.
You look like you've really enjoyed this month's DT pack as your projects have been stunning. Hugs, Judith xx

The format is lovely & I keep being drawn back to look at your stamping onto the patterns. Something I must try to work with for I love the effect but haven't thought too much about it before. I lo e the detail on each of those little tags & the colours of the ribbons co-ordinating so well with the papers.

I love thos project Lesley. You know I have a weakness for book projects, but I have never tried an envelope book, I feel really inspired now. Like Paula said I don't often stamp on patterned paper, but you have done it so well. I love your design, colours and the tags are great. The sari ribbon is a perfect finishing touch. Elaine xxx
